SELECTION CRITERIA

All eligible entries will be evaluated by an independent panel of esteemed judges, chaired by Pharmacy Times' Editor-in-Chief Troy Trygstad. The judging panel’s decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to the Awards. Up to three (3) finalists will be named in each category. If a finalist is nominated in multiple categories, that finalist will only be eligible for an award in the category in which he/she scored highest. The entries will be judged on the following criteria: professional standards, namely, evidence that the nominee has displayed the highest standards with regard to the tenets of the pharmacy profession, including commitment to patient care, ethical judgment, and customer service (35 points); experience, namely, the strength of the nominee’s background in pharmacy and how it relates to the specific category he/she has entered; years of experience appropriate to category (20 points); and advancement to the profession, namely, the strength of evidence that the nominee has made a significant contribution(s) to the pharmacy profession as a whole through his or her individual work; proof of leadership to advance the profession; clear evidence of mentorship, if applicable to category (45 points). Finalists will be notified by telephone and/or email on or before July 30, 2021. Winners of the Awards will be announced at the Next-Generation Pharmacist awards ceremony.   Odds of winning will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. For a list of finalists and/or winners, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope to Parata Systems, LLC, 106 Roche Drive, Durham, North Carolina, 27703.
